If you are a member of AAA...you might want to check their website for Vegas hotels.

Next month I am splurging for my 50th birthday and will be staying at the WYNN in a suite. Expensive, but I promised myself this treat for the big 50.

While re-newing my AAA online today, I just happen to see Vegas hotels noted. Out of curiosity I checked the WYNN and the AAA rate came to a total of $560 LESS for the 3 days than the direct rate from WYNN.

Only catch: you have to pay upfront and if you cancel, it's a $25 fee.

I can work miracles with $560.

Check it out!

Planet Hollywood offers a deal for AAA members...$89/weekday. It's listed on their website in the "promotions" section.

dean_1492: "It also works with Alamo car rental (AAA)..."

Hertz offers the automobile association discount too.
I get a 20-23% price reduction depending on the phases of the moon.
I don't think Alamo offers Mustangs for
rent.

Go the the AAA site to access the Vegas Deals.
I called the WYNN to let them know I had seen a cheaper rate and asked if they would match the price. "No, you have to go through the AAA travel agent....the WYNN does not offer AAA discounts."

What?!?! I guess they do, just not across their reservation desk. :rolleyes2:

I'll be watching the WYNN site as well, since the majority of their current "deals" end today (9/20).

Bellagio will give a 10% discount if you are a member of AAA.

Any idea how to get this 10% discount? I booked a trip in July through Bellagio's website and I'm currently paying full price. I went to AAA's site and looked up the same nights and the price was exactly the same.

I've never personally gotten the discount there but have several friends who have. When making the reservation they just inquire if there is a discount for being a member of AAA. Sometimes they have to call back to speak to someone else before getting the discount.

My friend has received the 10% off just by simply showing his AAA card upon check in...but in any case, it never hurts to call and ask. :D

I just called and they did in fact adjust my rate by 10%. Thanks for the help!

Sweet! As Sandra said, it never hurts to ask! More money on gambling or whatever floats your boat!

For Bellagio, just book the best rate you can. When you check in, show your AAA card and they will take an additional 10% off.

I wonder if this is the case for all MGM/Mirage resorts?

Can someone walk me through the exact steps on how to get the $89 PHo deal? Is that rate for any given weeknight or was that just so happened to be the rates for when you were going anyways? I tried aaa.com but could not find where to go next for this deal.

DBear, this may not be the answer you're looking for, but one way to get AAA rates at PH is to go to starwood.com. Enter your city and dates, click on PH, and then book now. You'll be presented with the ability to select special rates at the top, one of the choices being AAA. Refresh the page and those rates should come up.

That being said, I've found the AAA rates to not be available on peak dates. If you do find them, they'll usually be $20 or so less than the "best available rate", but may not be less than you could book on a marketing promotion or a special available at the PH web site.

I'm not aware of an $89 AAA promotion for PH, so maybe that just happened to be the rate on a particular night. Even if there were such a promotion, it's likely it wouldn't be a available at peak times.

wonder if they honor the 10% AAA on pkgs too?

thinking "no" as in it would be double-dipping?

Click here http://www.planethollywoodresort.com/ags_accommodations_promotions.php and the AAA special is the last one listed on the page.

Does anyone know if CAA has similar discounts?

DBear
03-19-2008, 04:33 AM
CAA is taken the same way as AAA at MGM hotels for sure. I had a buddy check in at TI and he had asked if there were any AAA discounts. The clerk said yes, there's a 10% discount and he presented his CAA card and got the discount even though he asked for an AAA discount. This was done at the check-in counter, not in advance.

You can also just go to AAA.com, and search hotels through there. Click on the one interested and the discounted price should show up!

At MGM MIRAGE properties make sure you have your AAA card with you when you check in and they will knock off 10%. If you are in on a promotion sometimes they will take the 10% off sometimes they won't but it never hurts to try.
