Hello, Everyone!

I'm brand new to the site and have really been enjoying getting a glimpse at some insider tips. Thanks to one of the hotel deals put out we've got 2 rooms in the Grand Tower at MGM Grand when we head over in October to celebrate my sisters 21st birthday in October. I've also resolved to try the $20 tip trick to see if we can get an upgrade. :woot:

We plan to head up again in February for the Riviera Super Bowl party as well, so I'll be looking for more information on that as we get closer. Anyway, just a wave and a "Thanks!" for all the tips, tricks, and info!

A) Give a damn what anyone thought
and
B) Enjoy everything I could because life can really suck at times

If nothing else, I can say my husband enjoys my philosophy! :wink2:

Hi LadyNoah, and wecome from another newbie to the boards! It looks like we're going to be at the MGM the same week. Were you able to get the $69 weeknight rate with the promo code (I think it was SDM039)? I had a reservation at $159 with another promo code then read about the lower rate here, so I cancelled and rebooked... took a BIG chunk off the room bill (although Sunday night went up to $179, but still a big savings over 4 nights). Sweet!! I'm planning to try the $20 front desk trick too just to see what happens... I'll definitely report my results.

Have a great time and maybe see you there! (I'll be the guy... um... with the shirt. Yeah, that's it.) :wave:

Hi, Harrington! We definitely got Shock's $69 rate for the time we're there, bringing our whole trip with flights to $150 per person. More money for booze and gambling! :banana: Have a great time yourself and you may notice us: just look for a beautiful young drunk blonde (my sis), an older loudmouth redhead (me), a 50 something redhead rolling her eyes and holding our arms (Mom), and a 60 something blonde laughing her ass off at all of us (my aunt). I'm fully expecting us to stick out and could do a jig in anticipatory glee.:thumbsup:

That's AWESOME!! It sounds like you'll be quite the crew! I'll definitely keep my eyes open for the four of you, although I doubt you'll really stick out... it is Vegas after all!

We're definitely an interesting group when we're all together. And since none of our men will be along, it'll certainly hike up the "Good God!" factor. I'm going to try to make special t-shirts for us to wear on the 1st day - if I get around to it (which I will, the embarrasment factor for the 21 year old is too good to pass up) I'll let you know what to look for.
