Michael Vick and some sort of dog fighting problem??? Has anybody else heard about this, or is it just me?
I was watching ESPN2 this morning waiting for the rain-delayed NASCAR race to start when some story came across the screen involving Atlanta Falcons star quarterback Michael Vick and some kind of dog fighting charges that have been brought against him. However, before I could see the specifics on the story, I decided to vacuum the living room for some reason and the loud noise of the vacuum cleaner drowned out the audio coming out of the television. Man, I am absolutely kicking myself right now. Why didn't I just wait until the story was over before turning on the vacuum cleaner?? If anyone can fill me in on this Michael Vick story, I'd really appreciate it!
Actually, about 15 seconds after the Vick story on ESPN2, I changed the channel over to ESPN and what appeared to be the EXACT SAME STORY was airing on that channel. What are the chances!?!? Unfortunately, my roommate had just gotten home and had an amusing story to tell involving the hilarious ineptness of the local convenience store employee, and by the time he was done telling his tale, I had once again missed the Michael Vick story!
You're not going to believe this though! I quickly turned to ESPN NEWS, and I'll be damned if that exact same story wasn't airing on that channel as well. However, my just recently turned-vegetarian roommate had just finished slicing up some carrots and cucumbers for his salad and began shoving the left-overs down the garbage disposal at the exact moment when the details involving this Michael Vick dog fighting case were being discussed! I waived at him frantically to stop, but it was too late!
Having given up on ever finding out about Michael Vick and his apparent run-in with the law (I hope it's nothing too serious), I decided to turn to the Weather Channel to get an update on Hurricane Dean. Just as this killer Category 5 storm packing sustained winds of 165mph was bearing down on the Mexican shores, they cut away for some reason and sure enough, a still photo of Michael Vick appeared on the screen along with commentary from 3 different Weather Channel lawyers and expert analysis from Jim Cantore. Unfortunately though, a rogue wave from the catastrophic killer hurricane containing devasting winds gusting to over 165mph blew a gas station sign off of it's moorings right next to Jim, knocking him unconscious and leaving me wondering, once again, what the hell is going on with Falcon's mega-star and former Virginia Tech football player Michael Vick!
So as you could imagine, I was completely frustrated at this point. To take my mind off of this apparent and mysterious Michael Vick disaster, I decided to turn on my brand new computer and check the flight status of my parent's airplane, since they are scheduled to fly into Vegas in a few hours. Just as I hit the 'track' button on flightview.com, a pop-up window filling the entire screen suddenly appeared and wouldn't you know it, information related to the star quarterback, Michael Vick, of the National Football League's Atlanta Falcon franchise was staring me right in the face. Being so excited by this unexpected turn of good luck, I jumped up for joy, realizing the mystery behind this story would soon be summarized within this informational pop-up paragraph. Unfortunately though, my excitement resulted in a can of Jolt Cola being spilled all over the damn keyboard, which quickly shorted out my brand new computer and left me in a foggy daze of confusion, never fully understanding the magnitude of this potentially devasting Michael Vick emergency!
Just in case nobody else has heard anything about this, I'll try to sum up what little I know so far. I've been able to conclude that Michael Vick got out of a car earlier today and began walking apprehensively toward a courthouse, wearing a black suit and a dark blue dress shirt. However, it gets a little shady at this point. I guess something happened in that courthouse, but without ever hearing the audio, the only thing I could gather is that he sat looking concerned over whatever proceedings were occuring. It's tough to tell though since I only saw a couple artist's sketches of these happenings, not actual footage. However, it seems as though the proceedings within the courthouse came to an end at some point because I did manage to glimpse some footage of Michael Vick walking in the opposite direction, OUT of the courthouse wearing the exact SAME black suit and dark blue dress shirt that he was wearing earlier in the day! I wish I could be of more help for everyone who hasn't heard about this Michael Vick story, but I just can't seem to find any additional information on it anywhere!
So please T2V nation, if anyone out there has ANY additional information on this important story, shed some light on it for us if you would. I for one, would be eternally grateful.
