Sitting at home this afternoon, doing my online traffic school for that ticket I got a few months back, I had to chuckle at this entry, regarding keeping a safe space around your vehicle:

A driver must remain conscious of others' circle of space. We must also be aware of the possible loss of this space by:

Tourists or other confused individuals
Driver/vehicle in trouble
Taxi cabs
Road workers
Delivery people (pizza, ice-cream, etc.)
School buses / school children: Immediately bring your vehicle to a stop
Motorcycles
Emergency vehicles

I've seen lots of confused individuals in this town, and not all of them on the highways, either...

Even more fun with traffic school. I *love* this questionnaire.

Do You……

Criticize the driving style of other drivers?
Speed?
Follow other drivers too closely?
Swerve in and out of traffic?
Think other drivers are out to get you?
Make hand gestures?
Cut off other drivers?
Pressure drivers who do not move as quickly as you would like?
Deliberately use your vehicle to impede progress of other drivers?
Feel the need to get even with other drivers?
Overtake other vehicles by driving off the pavement?
Fail to yield to right of way?
Drive between vehicles or people?
Create a hazard?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are a potential “road rage driver”.

If you answered yes to three or more questions, you are already violating the law.

I think I'm batting about .650 on that list. Heh...

What if I answered yes to all of them? Do they have you on Google earth and just bomb your car? I'm a baaaaad girl.

I took that quiz last year, hit about .500...

PS Around here the online program prevents one from "speeding" though the pages, as each "page" has a countdown timer which prevents moving on until the average user would finish. It was like five minutes, so I'd essentially waste 3 1/2 minutes waitng around to click "next." :cuss:

A major hotel chain released a study that stated that the average time a Pay Per View pr0n was viewed was 2.5 minutes. Inquiring minds want to know what exactly did you do during that other minute?

I'm batting about .750 on that list. I would guess that most of the blue hairs that I swerve in and out of criticize my style of driving, does that make them potential "road rage drivers" as well?

:D

Yeah well, we didn't film the birth of our child, just the conception and until it appeared on YouTube had the video on DD's website for $3.99 a minute. It was the best $7.98 one could spend!

Well, after five hours at the computer, yes, five hours, and $175 in fees and fines, I have finally extricated myself from the clutches of the Clark County Justice Court.

I blame Steve B showing up during the first weekend of the tournament, instead of joining the rest of us for March Madness later in the month. Had he come out with the rest of the T2V gang, I wouldn't have been speeding down Eastern Ave at 3:00 am that morning...

Damn...I think I have done all of those at least once. :rolleyes2:

I guess that makes me a definite "road rage driver".

I don't claim to be an absolute saint when it comes to driving, but my record basically speaks for itself. I guess the thing on that list I'm most guilty of is using my vehicle to "intentionally" slow the progress of another driver. However, the only time I ever do that is when I'm driving the speed limit, or even a little above the speed limit, and some asshat in an SUV pulls within an inch of my rear end basically saying "hey, speed up and possibly get a $200 ticket so I can get to that next stop light 2 seconds quicker." Those people get ZERO slack from me at all. I am also guilty of pulling up to within a foot or less when I catch up to them at the next light. Good job buddy, you just put us all at risk to gain exactly one more car-length toward your precious destination.

Those that drive faster than me are idiots.
Those that drive slower than me are morons.
Thats the way it is. :)

Tourists or other confused individuals

That's a good one...If I have to slam on my brakes one more time because of some asshat who thinks he can stop in the middle of the flippin road to watch the Bellagio Fountains...or the pedestrians who don't know that when there is a red hand lit up--you're NOT suppose to walk...sheesh...oh well I still love living here, so I guess I'll put up with it!

My answer for that is I just lay down on the horn and drive into the crowd, people move fast when they realize that I'm not going to stop.:wink2:

Vehicle 1, Pedestrian 1, I was stopped at a light and the guy didn't like my hand gesture. In my defense he was huge. On my 1 win, conditional release and probation!!
