Futures Contract Questions

Anyone get into buying futures contracts? Are they worthwhile? My sports betting site has introduced futures not only for sports but for political events as well. I was gonna pick up a few "Vick gets convicted" and "Kucinich drops out" contracts....

Money on the first - be careful on the second. Boy Wonder has a knack for not going away as long as a TV camera is willing to put his yoda mug & trophy wife on the tube.
