Fast Answer: Bally's.

More details in the "LV Strip Hotels and Casinos" forum.

Not so fast...people are going to differ on this one. I think the best thing for you to do to help you decide is to search the strip hotels forums for both hotels (using search function), as well as the trip reports. Also, I highly recommend Hunter's (a T2V member) website which provides lots of reviews about all the hotels from people who have stayed there.

I'm staying at the Flamingo next week for the first time, which will probably be too late to help you, but I'll still post some feedback about the hotel when I get home.

Flamingo pool is outstanding, Bally's is really not very exciting.
Flamingo rooms are small and worn, wheras N. Tower Bally's rooms are very spacious and recently redone. Flamingo is refurbishing their rooms now but it is a work in progress and I have yet to land one of the remodeled ones.
Both casinos are about the same, I'll give the edge to Flamingo, as they deal a better BJ game.

Have stayed at both,at the flamingo for my daughters 21st& harrahs for my sons. The Flamingo gets my vote hands down. Better gambling, nicer rooms, friendlier employes,& one of the best pools in vegas.Easy access from rooms to casino.

Flamingo. I did stay in a newly remodeled room, same carpet and chairs, but updated beadding and wall art. The room was good, the floor to ceiling view of the fountains was awesome. It was too cold to swim, but the pool area was great. Also, the back of the casino never seemed too busy, easy to find a $5 or $10 table.

I think she will like the pool at the Flamingo alot better than the pool at Ballys. graemlins/wiggle.gif

I'd also like to add that I think the walk from the strip to Bally's is pretty ridiculous. Of course it's Vegas and you practically walk miles on end, but I wouldn't want to stay there and have to do that walk everytime I go back to my room/casino...which is a lot since I'm a blonde and tend to forget things in our room. graemlins/laughing.gif
