Hi guys

I've been asking heaps of questions on this site, so I thought I'd better introduce myself.

I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Have only been to Vegas once, last year, for a massive 14 nights!!! Will be there again soon.

For both myself and my husband Vegas is the greatest place on earth!! It's just a shame that Australia is on the other side of the world and flights are so expensive, as I'm sure we would visit more often if that were not the case.

I love to hear everyone's suggestions, so I just want to say thanks for eveyone who has replied to my questions... and don't worry I'm sure there will be more question to come! LOL.

Cheers,
Chuppa :peace:

Welcome Chuppa!!

Glad you have joined us. We have some real veterans on here who can answers any question anyone has - they have helped me many times with updates & specials. Just post anything you need & someone will come thru.
We are T-22 & counting the days for our annual trip. You're right - LV is the greatest place on earth!!

How long does it take you to get to LV? I flew from Indiana to Tokyo once & with plane changes & layovers it took me 22 hours. Talk about jet lag!!! I can understand why travelers from Europe, Asia, etc. take such long holidays.

Hey Chuppa! 14 nights...I'm not sure my liver would survive that, but I'd love to give it a try. I see you have a trip coming up soon, will it be another 14 nights? Just curious.

Welcome :wave2:

Be thankful you're so far away!!! You live in a fantastic place. I'd take the eats along Lygon Street and shopping for tucker at the QV Market over the Strip any day. lol And the Macedon wines? Oh, and you have Cascade Premium Lager at your beck and call!! Hell, I haven't even gotten to chattin' about Sydney yet (oops, didn't mean that one ... lol).

Welcome. Post early and post often.

Thanks for introducing yourself Chuppa and welcome to the board! Since you have an upcoming trip you may want to check the Get Togethers thread to see if anyone else from our wonderful board will be there when you are. It really is fun to share a drink and tell Vegas stories with someone who feels just like you do!

Welcome Chuppa....

Was wondering the same thing, how long does it take you to get out here?

Better that you are so far away, then you would be like me and having withdrawl's every month from not going to Vegas :)

Thanks guys for making me feel so welcome!

The flight from Australia is a killer (although not as bad as to London)! Last year it took us about 18 hours (includes a stop in LA). This year we're breaking up the flight and going via Tokyo where we have a 24 hour layover.(At least we get to see a bit of a new country).

Only spending 8 nights in Vegas this time as we're seeing a little more of the US. I'm glad we did 14 nights last time as we had a chance to do all the touristy things as well as gamble & party!!

This time though it's just enough time to party! (and gamble, of course)

Ken, do you know how far Sydney is from Melbourne?.... Not far enough! :wink2:

Sin, thanks for the Get Together suggestion. I think it's great. I will definately check it out.

Angel, withdrawal's... OMG, I'm now wearing a patch to keep me going!! LOL

...not long to go now. I'm getting excited.

That's how California feels about most of the rest of the country. lol But when it comes to your great country/continent we don't have to take sides and we can enjoy it all! (And we can also say really good things about NZ, too. lol)
