Hello From Austin, TX!

Just thought I'd stop in and say hello. It's my first time on the board and in August, I'll have my first trip to Vegas! I love wine, dining out, shopping and black jack so this trip is sure to be fun. I keep scratching my head wondering why I never planned a Vegas Vacation sooner (I'm in my mid-thirties). I travel quite a bit for fun, but vacations have mostly been to Scottsdale, New York City, Chicago, London and Disney World. I'm also a big Disney fan, but I like the more "grown up" aspects of Las Vegas.

Choosing restaurants has been a challenge, since I will only be there for 3 days. I've chosen Olives (been to the one in NYC), Japonais (on the fence about this one) and Mesa Grill. If anyone has any advise on restaurants, shopping or great places to play Black Jack, I'm all ears. I'll be traveling with my mother (she's never been either) and we will be staying at The Bellagio.

Make sure to post any questions you have in the Restaurants & Buffet section and you will get all kinds of helpful suggestions. For shopping you must visit the Forum Shops at Caesar's and if that’s not enough shopping, you can always hit The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, both well within walking distance of Bellagio.
