For those that haven't heard, there is a new Simpsons movie being released at the end of the month. In order to promote it, 7-11 has transformed a dozen convenience stores around the country into Apu-style Kwik E Marts.
And guess which town has one? Las Vegas? Not exactly...
Henderson, baby!
Anyhow, the newest Kwik E Mart just happens to be down the street from Casa de Mikey & Falcon Rob.
Rob went down there earlier yesterday to grab a box of Krusty-O's, but they were already sold out. They'd also ran out of Buzz Cola, but promised to have more stuff in stock later today. Anyhow, we were sitting around the house enjoying the wonder of HDTV when we realized that we were out of beer and needed to make a suds run. So back we went to the Kwick E Mart, this time with a camera.
(Sadly, they don't offer Duff Beer...)
Anyhow--Here are the photos:

No dilly-dally.

Mikey and the Comic Book Guy. Greatest. Picture. Evar.

A smiling Apu offers us cartons of cigarettes.

Dammit...I missed the sign behind Homer's Head. It said "Buy Three for the Price of Three!". But that's Falcon Rob with a case of Bud, since there was no Duff's available.

I think this photo speaks for itself...

There were a few other pictures, all of which didn't quite turn out (camera-phone), and most of the other Simpson characters were on display throughout the store.
Pretty fun concept, and there were lots of people in there taking pictures and such, and like I said, all of the Simpson-themed foodstuff was already sold out. But it's cool to be one of the 'chosen' neighborhoods.
