I thought some of you (lucky) locals would know what the typical weather is like in mid Oct? Is it still low to mid 80's or is it cooler than that? We had a trip scheduled for Sept and we like to do the pool thing but flights were pretty high and I found some using our FF miles for mid Oct. Thanks, Dino

Maybe for Not Soberfest time John?? :wink2:
I haven't lived through an October here yet, but the last two trips here in that month have been pleasant. Light sweater for nights out, pants comfortable (as opposed to right now)... I wish I could guarantee it'd be nice for your trip. Mother Nature doesn't always agree!

Thanks Gang! Weather looks good... or at least a good chance of good..:)
Becky...not sure of dates yet...playing w/ airports (ORF. PFH & RIC) to see what I can get using miles. They always have these dates open so you can fly out but you can't get home for 2 weeks....hmmmmm....:)

Hottest day ever 117? This week's forecast has 116 in it so we're pushing the envelope!
FWIW, my car has recorded 120 twice so far.

I bet you'd still agree it's better than the 100 (temp) & 100 (humidity) that we get here on the lovely east coast. Like somebody said to me the ohter day playing golf..."but it's a "wet" heat"....LOL :)

Weather in October is near perfection. Wind can be gusty, but otherwise days are warm and sunny (low-mid 80's) and nights are cool (upper 50's-low 60's). It's a great time to visit.

A breeze kicked up yesterday that made it feel hotter. It felt exactly like standing in front of an open oven door, with a fan on. But yes, it's much better than the humid heat that just makes you wilt!

Vegasbound... you make it all sound quite inviting:) :):)
Becky...I know that feeling, we were walking from the Mirage to the Desert Inn one afternoon in July a few years back and my wife just about freaked beacuse all she could get was VERY hot air when she breathed in... luckily we made it into the old DI (may she rest in peace) for a cold libation just in time:)

It'll be heating up in Vegas this week, too, they're anticipating some record breaking temperatures. LV Forecast doesn't seem too bad though after looking at Laughlin's (my second home) forecast for the rest of the week:
Sunny
Low: 87° High: 117°
Low: 87° High: 119°
Low: 92° High: 121°
Low: 94° High: 118°

Whatever the weather is going to be like coming up in October, I'm *sure* it'll be much more enjoyable than what we've got going on right now.
Too. Damn. Hot.
