Hello,

I just received my first copy of the Las Vegas Advisor's Pocketbook of Values, and I must say, it certainly has a lot of nice coupons!

I would like to trade some of them, but the coupons say they are void if detached prior to redemption and the coupon must be removed from the book in the presence of a casino employee. Is this something I should be concerned about, that is, do they really check? I know with the American Casino Guide coupons, they have never asked me for the special card when I use the coupons, so any advice on the POV coupons before I start making trades would be great.

Thank you very much for reading this message. I look forward to your replies.

I haven't ever had any troubles with it, but I've heard there are a couple of places that want to see you take it out. I would just leave them in, and ones you get from trades keep them in the book. Then when you present it they can at least see you have the book.

I have used the POV and ACG for my last 5 trips and have never had to show my ID from ACG or be seen tearing out the coupon. However, if you keep them in the book it will appear that you are or just have removed them as was already mentioned. I wouldn't worry about it!

I have been swapping POV coupons for years. I place them in the book in the spot where it would have been. I then open the book and remove it in front of the person IM giving it to. Never had a problem. Barry

My answer is the same as Chip Collector. Never has any trouble at all. I
do use a glue stick to lightly glue the coupons on the correct page (either
the coupon above or below) or in case that one is also gone, then I would glue to next page.
I think the floor supervisors just do not want to see you
having a bunch of the same coupons.
