Not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes.I know it is best to book both Air &Hotel separately. But,US Air has a deal Out of Newark on the days I want to travel that seems to good to be true.May-27-30 at Caesars for $587.50 per person. The flight alone is $298.This means less than $95 per night when the Caesars web site wants $200.I know its early for spring discounts but will I get better if I wait?

One question, is the deal based on double occupancy? If it is, it will be higher with just one person going...

I think it's safe to say that "generally speaking" it's better to book air and hotel separately. If you find a deal that you're happy with, by all means book it if you think you're getting the bargain. As mentioned elsewhere, the downside to booking the hotel through the package deal is not being able to talk to a host if you do any amount of gambling at your hotel's casino and having them comp any of your stay.

You might wanna recheck your math.

Package
4 People at $587.40 per person
Assuming 2 rooms?
Total Package Price of $2350

Seperate
Air
4 People at $298 per person
Airfare cost - $1192
Hotel
3 Night Stay with 2 rooms at $200 per night
Hotel cost - $1200
Total Price of $2392

Not sure how you're getting the package price for the room would be $95 when the difference between the package and the air/hotel seperate is $42, which would mean your getting the rooms for $193 per night.

I just checked their website and those dates for 4 people are now from $609 per person :(

Also - depending on your gambling habits, if you are playing enough to earn any comps or even just 'casino rate' - if you have bought a package, you can't apply comps. However, if you book hotel separately, then any comps you earn based on your play may further reduce your bill.

Shock ,

I realize the errors in my calculations. It came to $95 per person for the room x 2$ almost $200 is correct. At least their airfare price is good. Will prices come down for the days I am looking for?

Going in on that Sunday will be pricey because that is Memorial Day. If you go on Monday, you could book Bellagio for less than Caesars, as it stands right now, it is about the same as Caesars. Of course you could use your AAA card and get a discount at either hotel.
