NORM: Michael Jackson landing on Strip? (http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2006/Dec-24-Sun-2006/news/11612290.html)
Ending 18 months of seclusion in Europe, reclusive superstar Michael Jackson was on a plane to the United States late Saturday bound for Las Vegas, where he plans a comeback.
Jackson and his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II were due to arrive before midnight at a private executive terminal at McCarran International Airport, sources said.

OK...which hotel is going to be suicidal enough to hire him? :vomit:
As much as this pains me to say, I think he would be an excellent draw...
So, if someone snatches him up, I wouldn't be shocked at all...:)

But would it offset the loss of business from people who would boycott any establishment that brought him in?
Even murderers and rapists look down on child molesters.

is he healthy enough to maintain a standing engagement here?
I was under the impression that he wasn't all that strong.
To do constant performances, it takes strength and endorance, does he have those anymore? and will his nose be able to stand the constant spot lights?
hum
interesting

My thought is this:
Does Circus Circus have a venue that will work?
I mean, where else on the Strip do you think it would work? C'mon now, really?
The man is a circus act, in the truest form.....:eek2
Why would they let him back in? Could Homeland Security not come up with something to find that he is a security risk? Maybe they could have worked in conjuction with the Save the Children Foundation or something. :grrr:
Send him back to Bahrain!!
If that isn't possible - figure out how to make a CC deal work!!
That's where a circus act like him should be.
It fits.

Isn't putting Jackson at Circus Circus rather like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse?

Yes, I'm sure Circus Circus would be Michael's first choice.

I can't believe that the evil of MJ plus the evil of Celien Dion (sorry... I know people like her but it my world she is quite, quite evil) hasn't made Vegas implode in upon itself aleady.

From the sentiments expressed by the forum members on this subject thus far, I think Michael and his managers better rethink his "comeback" attempt. Circus Circus is even too good for him. Is there a freak sideshow in Vegas he could headline?

I'm trying to seriously answer the question of who the heck would even contemplate this guy as a headliner. MGM-Mirage is out (unless it's a Cirque "Thriller" production); Harrahs is out; and that doesn't leave much else. I don't see Steve or Sheldon going for it. Boyd has nowhere to host him (yet). Stations doesn't do headliners.
My guess - if anyone - Planet Hollywood.

NORM: Jackson prepares to settle down
Michael Jackson and his three children flew here Saturday.
Paparazzi had staked out a mansion near The Orleans on Wednesday, a sure sign that Michael Jackson's hideaway is no longer secret.
An Internet report hinted that the pop icon was heading for the $60 million, 100,000-square-foot mansion built by Jackson pal Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei at Spanish Trail. But activity at the other location, which we won't divulge for security reasons, suggested that Jackson had other plans.
Jackson, his three children and support personnel arrived in Las Vegas on Saturday night after a flight from Dublin, Ireland.
Jackson, 48, plans to relaunch his career in Las Vegas, according to friend and deal maker Jack Wishna.
When Jackson in 2005 was exonerated of molestation charges in California, there were reports he was lining up a deal at the Wynn resort. But Wynn reps suggested otherwise at the time.
A British entertainment Web site (www.poprevenge.com) is reporting that Jackson and illusionist David Blaine are teaming up on a magic and music spectacular in Las Vegas.
It was reported here four years ago that Jackson, months before his molestation charges arose, was close to signing a deal with a Las Vegas property for a magic and music show.
Fox News' Roger Friedman reported on Monday that it was unlikely Jackson was in Las Vegas "as reported over the weekend."
That despite numerous sightings of Jackson shopping on Christmas Eve at the Forum Shops at Caesars.
Jackson "is terrified of returning to the U.S. and doesn't actually want to work," Friedman wrote in his Monday column.
Friedman added, "Should Jackson return to the U.S., he would be inundated with process servers in a number of civil matters. Chief among them: a $48 million lawsuit that's proceeding through the New York courts. Several former attorneys are also suing him for nonpayment of fees. And a return to America would make him vulnerable in his ongoing, and as yet unsettled, custody case with ex-wife Debbie Rowe."
Friedman pulled a 180-degree U-turn on Tuesday, however, and acknowledged that Jackson is in Las Vegas.
