Hullo all.

Moving out to Vegas in January with MrIttel's work and we've started to seriously think about where we want to live. We've narrowed it down to the green valley/henderson etc area but I'm trying to get an idea of specifically where we want to be.

Personally I'd like to be in walking distance of a gym/pool/shopping area or, at a push, on a bus line so that I can get to a shopping area by public transport. This is mostly in case I have to survive without a car during the day when MrIttels goes to work (we're hoping to buy two cars but we're not sure whether we'll manage it yet). It'd also be nice to be able to walk to restaurants and back so we can both drink when we go out.

We'd ideally like to be somewhere where other houses don't overlook us and where we can get a nice view of the strip and/or the mountains so high on a hill would be cool.

We drove round some of henderson (near anthem I think) and like the look of some houses near a golf course up there but we're not actually into the golf thing and most of the houses in the area we looked seem to be for the retirement community.

work will pay a rental allowence of around $1800 incidentally.

If anyone happens to know some good communities, or general areas, with some of these requirements that we can eye out for then I'd be very grateful!

Cheers all.
