Locals... thoughts on Question 7??

Only poll numbers I can find see to suggest that it may be a 60/40 repeat of the last time the question came up... what is the local buzz? I know it's a law I'd like to see in my own state (a little puff is a VERY nice thing for the day the arthritis/carpal tunnel is so bad I want to chop off my hands - I also believe there are FAR more dangerous drugs today that could use the money and focus from law enforcement and the legal system) but I think it'd have a snowball's chance in hell in Illinois... but Nevada is more liberal. And why yes... from the tourtist perspective, it'd be a darned nice little perk to take advantage of once in awhile on a trip.

I'm for it, although it will have little effect on me personally. I just don't feel prisons/courts should be filled with people busted for pot. Let's leave some room for real criminals, too much money and time is spent on marijuana. There's far worse out there that needs attention. Legalize it, tax it, regulate it and I think we'll be better off. I know when I was a teen it was a hell of a lot easier to buy pot and/or other drugs than it was to get a pack of cigs or alcohol. I really don't think it'll pass this time around, though.

As far as local buzz, there hasn't been much talk about it. Question 4 & 5 have gotten most of the coverage.

I'm a local, and I plan on voting for it. However, I don't think it'll change the fact that I have to take a whiz quiz every time I apply for a casino job. Funny thing is, I moved around hundreds of thousands of more dollars every day back when I was an options/stock trader, and never had to take a drug test.

A very mellow bunch of brokers we had there at Schwab back in the day...

The question I'm going to wholeheartedly vote against is the one that 'streamlines the ability for the state to collect tax revenues on online purchases'. Fark that. Nevada has been running a budget surplus. They ain't getting any more taxes from me if I can help it. Let the tourists pay our bills, I say...
