It seems like the U.S. is starting to get tougher on the off-shore on-line sports betting operations. There's an article in Yahoo news this morning about an arrest of the CEO of BetOnSports:

And there's a bill going through Congress to prevent banks and credit cards from transferring money to these gambling houses (although the government allows on-line wagering for horse racing).

I don't have a problem with on-line wagering for sports, but it looks like Big Brother does. I bet (if that's allowed) that the government would be OK if they were getting their cut, much like they do here in CT with Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.

Ahh the government and their rules on gambling. You can gamble but not on sports...just on horses and lotto...or in casinos where you can risk your house money...or in Vegas where you can bet on sports...The problem is that there aren't enough lobbyests (houwever you spell it) to change some senators minds on the matter.

I was going to go into politcial rant mode but remembered Sonya's no politics request in time so I will show my feelings this way...:Þ

Does this have anything to do with why we haven't seen Ron (Blackjack) yet today??

Oops. Forgot that rule. I guess I can't say anything about how politicians, elected by the people, never seem to vote the way the people that elected them want. Doesn't matter if they're Red, Blue, or other, they always seem to go with the party, not their constituents.
