It seems like the U.S. is starting to get tougher on the off-shore on-line sports betting operations. There's an article in Yahoo news this morning about an arrest of the CEO of BetOnSports:

And there's a bill going through Congress to prevent banks and credit cards from transferring money to these gambling houses (although the government allows on-line wagering for horse racing).
I don't have a problem with on-line wagering for sports, but it looks like Big Brother does. I bet (if that's allowed) that the government would be OK if they were getting their cut, much like they do here in CT with Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.
