Ok Ken or someone out there who has done it...what do I have to do to get the ball rolling on renewing vows? Since we are already married is it as simple as bringing my marriage liscense or do I still have to get a liscense from Clark Couty?

Thanks in advance for your help.

We renewed our vows last July. We use the Little White Wedding Chapel. they came and picked us up in their limo and then dropped us off afterwards. We didn't need anything at all, just showed up, paid the money and had the ceremony. We signed something saying we were already legally married and that was it. Since you're already married, you don't have to reregister with Clark County or anything.

Keno,

Thanks a bunch! We had always said that at 10 years we would renew our vows in Vegas and November is fast approaching so I just wanted to know what it required.

Sammi, Mikey and I just went to the coolest wedding out there last Saturday. BigStogie (George) and Marlisha got married at Graceland Wedding Chapel. Maybe you can check into that. It's actually a pretty nice place. He should be posting about it soon on his blog.

Good luck

Angy, Thanks a lot. I am not sure if the trip is going to take place as of right now...it dep;ends on the babysitter for the toddler but if all goes as planned then I will be looking into it. I am not sure if I want to do Elvis but hey it is Vegas right?

Hoya...um...she is going to be two...you might not have a house when she is done. This child is a one kid wrecking crew. Thanks though.

I would suggest being really, really nice to your husband.... :wink2:

T, let me assure you that is part of the reason we are married almost 10 years...we both like to be nice to each other in a variety of ways. :wink2:

Even a wider variety now that a two year old frequents our bed...

Sammi, take a copy of your recorded wedding certificate, which you can get from the county in which you were married. Some, but not all chapels want to see that someone is married before they will perform a vow renewal even though the renewal carries no legal sanction. Conversely, if you know which chapel you're going to just call and ask the question and then you'll know if you have to go through the hassle of getting the cert.

I had a vow renewal at Geaceland chapel in 2003, and it was really terrific! Not expensive and the chapel is absolutely adirable.
