Saw this in Norm's column today. Any ideas whose pool it was? :haha:
Avian flu concerns have Strip resorts plenty spooked, as a very unlucky duck discovered when it made the mistake of landing in the swimming pool of a south Strip resort. After a high-level summit meeting, a security guard armed with a silencer on his revolver moved in and whacked the vacationing winged tourist. ...

I don't know which hotel it was, but you can just follow Pam Anderson and the rest of the PETA gang. They should be showing up any time.

The real story -- the duck was counting cards at the swim-up blackjack.

I agree. The admins are ducking their responsibility here.

I am just going to duck and run away from this thread...
I do find nothing wrong with shooting the breeze here now and then...locking down threads are not all that it is quacked up to be. We wouldn't want any feathers ruffeled.
Sorry couldn't help it.

I've seen 2 ducks in the Flamingo pool - at the uncrowded end -
near the waterslide (?) - right under the little bridge.
.
Now.....would management really allow a guard to shoot
a live round into a pool ?.......If he missed and put a hole
in the cement, would it be worth it ?........NO.
All they need is a net.

All they need is a net.
Now just how much fun would this thread be if they used a net? Huh?
After a high-level summit meeting, a security guard armed with a silencer on his revolver moved in and whacked the vacationing winged tourist. ... I believe that a silencer is against Federal law.

I believe that a silencer is against Federal law.
Which is why he shot it at the quack of dawn when nobody was around. :rolleyes2:

That's a bit violent, isn't it? Couldn't they have just goosed it out of the pool instead?
