I will be moving here at the end of January, I am looking for a decent cheap cheap place to live, that is in a decent area, I am most likely going to move into one of these studios, my daughter is already out there with her mom and that is why I will be coming out, they live in Henderson, I’m trying to sell a house in Michigan right now, so when I move out there I will have to pay rent there and a house payment here tell it sell’s that is why I need cheap. So if anyone can help and point me to a nice place I would appreciate it, I have looked at all the rent web pages, but I don’t know what is a good area or not, please please help, thanks.

First of all, how much is cheap? The low-rent places tend to be in the seedier areas. The apt complexes I'm familiar with are, what I'd consider mid-price, running about $600-$800 for a 1 or 2 bedroom.
Typically, the East side will be cheaper than other areas, but there are still pricey neighborhoods found. Old Henderson might have some cheap rents, as well. Additionally, on the West side from I-15 to Decatur rents will be cheaper than those located further West of Decatur. SW and NW areas will likely be pricey. NE areas are spotty, some are cheap as others are expensive. NLV is really spotty, as well, some areas are great while others are less desirable.
The LVMPD offers a great interactive program called Crime View Community (http://www.lvmpd.com/crimeviewcommunity/). Just plug in the address or cross streets and check the varied crimes, and then it will pin-point all crimes that have been reported within the given time frame. It will even give detailed summary reports. It's a great resource when scoping out neighborhoods.
There's a few apt. rating site out there like www.apartmentratings.com. Although, I'd recommend taking the reviews will a grain of salt. But if you notice a pattern of bad or good reviews on particular Apt. that should indicate what living there would actually be like.
Good luck with the move!
