We are huge into classic cars. I'm a hot-rodder tho, not a restorer. I am currently building a 56 ford customline 2 dr sedan. My wife has a 64 falcon which will be next on the chopping block.

My enthusiasm for vintage vehicles is tempered somewhat. I'm not a guy who lives in his garage, and the driving experience doesn't compare to modern cars. But they are beautiful to look at ...

Classic cars in their virgin state are not sweet drivers. Thats why my 56 ford has power rack & pinion steering, power disc brakes, a/c etc.. The quality of ride and handling will be equiv to rear wheel drive cars of the 70's or 80's. Add about 400 hp under the hood, and you have one fun and dependable ride!
I still own my first car, a 1990 Rover Mini Cooper, although not that old it is pretty much the same as ones that rolled off the production line in 1959.

Thanks Perry! Great website.... interesting how the 48 Chevy Utility Truck and their new SSR truck have some very similar lines especially the cab. That new truck is a beautiful vehicle.... I'd love to see a lot more retro cars come out from the mfr's. Best of both worlds "if" they get the design right on the new car. I've often wondered if in years to come we'll see some of the Extreme Blazers tricked out and be very popular like the Chevy Nomads in the 50's. ~ Dino
