Poker room rate question

I've never done the poker room rate, because I can usually get a good rate at a cheap place and then play wherever I want for however long I want.

How do the poker rooms count hours? I know that you sign in and out, but do you get credit if you get up in the middle of a session and take a walk. I know you generally get picked up after 2 downs if you're out of the game, but that's a complete hour. Will you get credit for the hour?

Just got back from using poker room rate at Wynn.

According to the hosts, you must have your players card swiped at their desk in the back of the room when you arrive and when you leave. If you leave without swiping the card, you will _lose_ all the hours you played.

I'm not talking about short bathroom breaks.
