I don't know if this applicable to Vegas, but when is the slowest time? I know like at Disney World it's between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the parks are empty and hotel rooms are cheeeeap. Is there a time when this is true in Vegas? I love travelling during low times!

Same time. Vegas' slowest/cheapest season is between the end of the National Finals Rodeo in early December and Xmas.

I've always found early/mid November to be bargain time in Vegas. Most of my trips if I look back have been in Oct, Nov and Dec. The majority being November. Always been cheap, at least my experience, anyways. It's a little colder mind you at night, but still a great break and a fun few days away. :)

I like November in Vegas. No lines, no crowds, just good times.

Sinatra seemed to like "April in Paris". Too bad he didn't do a song "November in Vegas", it would have been a hit, at least with me..:D

I went for 3 nights last December, and it was very low season.. one week before Christmas and we were able to cross (ok, jaywalk) the Strip without running. Almost too dead for my taste. (the next trip was March Madness which pretty much made up for the lack of people in December)

According to Hilton, it's the first two week of December and the last three weeks in January.

Right after Labor Day is also good. I've been there three times in September and prices are always low and it's much less crowded.

LOL "November in Vegas" I was hoping that after Labor Day would be metioned, that's when we're going! My bf's birthday is perfect, always the week after Labor Day, I get to treat him to vacation for cheaper! (Does that sound as awful as I think it does?)

The absolute low season is what ken mentioned, after the rodeo and before x-mas in December. This has been documented. Surprisingly, January has some great rates, as well.
Summer used to be considered somewhat of the low season due to heat, but that doesn't seem to be the case as much.

I have to book vacation packages due to the high cost of air fare in Minnesota. The absolute low season is the week of Dec 12th. The next week its twice as expensive and continues that way to the end of the year. Unfortunately vegas has attracted NASCAR and large conventions from Chicago and Atlanta over the years and finding a cheap week is getting very difficult.
It used to be the 2nd week in Dec through the end of the month until new years eve then the prices jumped big time. Now the third week and fourth week in Dec can be spendy as well.

It used to be July and August were reasonable because people avoided the high heat. Thats not true anymore . Some of those weeks can be spendy as well.

It used to be that the first couple weeks in March one could find bargains but with NASCAR and other conventions filling those weeks they are very spendy.

It used to be that after school started it got cheap but again big conventions those weeks help fill hotels now.

The bottom line for me and I think vegas is still the steal of the century when you start comparing it to other locations. Its not cheap but its reasonable.

Cheap is the week of Dec 12th.
