Last night, changed my reservation from Stardust to NYNY. I am woundering if anyone can tell me what to expect there as way of service, rooms and upgrades. We are going for our anniversary and want a GOOD stay. ANY info we can get would be great. Pics would be awsome if someone has them. Keep in mind I am 23 and she is 20.

I'm also considering NY NY for our next trip. So far all of the reviews warn to ask for a room located away from the rollercoaster. With that being said, I plan on requesting a corner room and pray that the walk to the elevator isn't a mile.

Since reading a few reviews about long check-in lines, we plan to utilize the MGM/Mirage satellite (http://www.nynyhotelcasino.com/pages/accom_airport.asp) airport check-in. Registration shouldn't take too long unless everyone has the same idea.

Also, if you're a slot player, don't forget to sign up with their NY NY $lot Exchange (https://secure02.mgm-mirage.com/nyny_secure/pages/gaming_slot_form.asp) club. We received a few special rates by email since signing up.

FYI...There is no buffet on property. I guess it's no loss since all of the neighboring hotels do.

I haven't stayed at either . . . BUT, I can say, that being 22 yrs old (in your age group), if I had the choice and money wasn't an issue, I'd stay at NYNY over the Stardust any day. NYNY is much closer to the center of the action, and a much newer and "hipper" looking joint than the Stardust. But then, I'm staying at the Sahara.....so "hip" obviously isn't paramount to me....lol :).

nyny is my favorite place in vegas. i have stayed there twice and had my room comped both times. i am a green chip blackjack player. the things i like about it is the following:

good location, right across from mgm and excalibur and not far from paris and several other nice places.

staff always seemed very friendly to me. i have heard, however, that after 9/11, they got rid of alot of their management people.

has espn zone which is a nice place to relax and have a beer.

casino seems lively and on the weekend they have had some really good live entertainment.

food isn't the greatest and like an earlier post, they don't have a buffet. i'm sure the two of you will be all over vegas so it's not like you are going to be doing all of your dining in nyny.

good luck wherever you stay. i'm sure you'll have a great time.
