So is that more or less than Star Wars? :p

:-)

$4.14M/day.

Way above Bellagio's opening.

$25 of that was mine.

Unfortunately my contribution to combined gaming/non-gaming revenues was closer to $3k.

At least my stock is going back up. :-)

My contribution was about half of Hunter's and I actually won in the casino...

What does this in turn mean for the consumer as far as room rates? 91% occupancy in the opening month doesn't sound too good. I read in the article that Wynn's pushing for 100%. Do you think we could see a drop in room rates?

My understanding is that the 91% figure is due to the fact that not all 100% of the room inventory was available at the opening...

I forgot to mention that I'll be back on property at the end of June to cover the 2005 Casino Design conference, so I'll get another chance to stay at the hotel and see how the dust has settled.

Haven't made it to the hotel offers forum yet to see if anyone posted, but I got an email from Wynn with summer rates--$179 standard room (I assume that's weekdays only but didn't check any dates out) Finally starting to get some summer rate specials--higher than previous years, that's for sure.....
