My wifeand I, plus her sister and brother and law are all going in October to Vegas and we're staying at Mandalay, but may venture out to the Ghost Bar if it's worth it.

What do you mean by better?
It's kinda like comparing apples to oranges. Ghostbar is extremely small with a teeny tiny dance floor...which is the balcony, so you need some good weather. It's more of a lounge type bar. Nice place to start or end the evening, but not a main destination.
Rumjungle has a nice size dance floor, blasting music, dancing girls...it's aquite a bit wilder. Quite a bit.
Do youself a favor. Try a search on this forum (upper right corner of the screen) on "runjungle" and "Ghostbar" to see what they're like. Vegas has quite a few lounges and quite a few dance clubs. The difference is pretty pronounced.
So what are you looking to do and maybe we can help? Dance? Lounge? People watch? Have a great view?

I would go with the Rum Jungle, it is bigger and line should be a lot quicker.
On a busy night, I heard of people waiting up to 2 hours to get into the Ghost Bar.

At the risk of sounding like a big hedonist, I'm a big partier and for my money, I'd say stay at Mandalay and have fun. Even if Rumjungle is a loitle slow, I think the lobby bar at Mandalay is one of the best that I've come across in Vegas. Lots of dancing. Quite a few folks.
Ghostbar is cool to check out, and I had fun there, but it ain't all that. Worth checking out, but like Hype said, don't be a sucker and wait in one of those ridiculous late nite lines for it.
If you're at Mandalay Bay on a Wednesday, check out Dragoon. The China Grill restaurant there turns into a niteclub one day a week. Here's a link for more info:

I've never been in RumJungle, but the lines can be VERY long on Fri/Sat nights after midnight.
If your staying at Man Bay, see if they can help with a line pass. RumJungle is owned and operated by a third party company not connected with the MB, so it may not be possible. But you have nothing to lose by asking.

Like I read earlier, ghostbar and rumjungle is like apples and oranges. I've been to both on weekend nights and both have their pros and cons. Hopefully this helps
ghostbar-since this considered a lounge, there is no actually dancefloor. The eyecandy is plentiful, but unless your Leo DiCaprio your not getting any! But who knows, this is the type of place you might run into him! The view is amazing, and they have this cool plexiglass peephole that you can look down 44 stroies to the pool through. Lines can be long, especially on nights that Rain is closed.
rumjungle- this place is pretty cool, not as good as Rain however. The bartenders treat you well, if you treat them well. One tip for this place is to pick the same bartender to get all your drinks from, and take care of him by way of tip. I found out that by tipping big in the beginning or after running a tab led to free/reduced drinks and no waiting! everyone partying here seemed laid back and looking for a good time. Lines can get long, and cover is about $20 for men. Get here early, stake out a spot at the bar and watch the fire dancers, until this place gets jumping!
