Two couples in our 40s are thinking of bar hopping on a Sunday nite in Vegas. Any suggestions? Was thinking of going to Coyote Ugly, The Ghost Bar, and Vodoo Lounge. Has anyone been there or maybe have other suggestions.
Thanks

I don't think you will enjoy yourself at Coyote Ugly at all, in fact, I don't know many people who do :)It really depends on whatyou are looking for. If you want to dance, Ghost Bar and Voodoo are fine (tip: some front desk staff at Rio may have VIP passes to Voodoo....) Also, you may want to check out the Fontana Bar at Bellagio.

I agree, been to Coyote Uggh and didn't really enjoy it, Nine Fine or Times Bar at NYNY would be better options. Check out the vegas.com bar reviews (http://www.vegas.com/nightlife/bars/). I've found a couple in there that I've wanted to hit and haven't got to (like the Sky Lounge atop Polo Towers) 'cause I get sucked into the Mandalay Bay Island lounge and never leave (Venetian casino lounge is also good). You might look into Caesar's Shadow bar, and House of Blues (just the restaurant/bar part) at Mandalay. The Peppermill has a very cool lounge bar too, with sort of a mini Mirage volcano as a fireplace. None of these are dance spots, tho, if that's what you're looking for.
A note on the Fontana, seems to me the outdoor seating doesn't open until the evening.

Ghost Bar and VooDoo Lounge will be ok, as crowd is a little older. Both have nice outdoor decks with great views. Best to be there early for Ghost Bar. I have never been to PepperMill Lounge, but most people give it a thumbs up. Prob worth stopping in.

Give us some more details, Dave. graemlins/confused1.gif
Are you looking to casually drink and check out the crowd while sitting?
Are you looking to dance? a little? A lot? Do you like bar bands or recorded music?
Are you looking to get rowdy?
For myself, I like to hoist a few, then dance. I don't mean that old folks, shuffling to the oldies stuff. (Hey, the seventies are over. Move on!) I mean, throw on some P Diddy, Beyonce, Pharrell and I'm getting mine!!
I'm 40 and my wife's 41. That's what we like to do. We absolutely love dancing to top forty dance music.
Our fav place is Voodoo lounge. Do a little research and see if that's a good night to go there. I know when we've been, they have a bar band, who's pretty good, then outside turns into a ginat outdoor dance floor with music like you hear on the radio. Best of both worlds.
Ghostbar is okay to hang out and, well...hang out, but not much dancing action. It's a good stop, but not a good final destination place.
Coyote Ugly? Don't bother. In a town filled with tourist traps, they're about the worst. graemlins/nono.gif
If you're brave, you can try and get picked at Light at Bellagio. My fav bar, but kinda hard to get in. I'm trying to remember. There's another bar that big on Sundays and I can't think of ti right now.
Gime a little more detail, and I'll try and help steer you. graemlins/beerchug.gif
