I was wondering if somone could make a list of beer that they sell in las vegas. I am from Canada and would like to try Miller High Life but I'm not sure if they have it. I don't want to look stupid when I ask for a beer. thanx graemlins/beerchug.gif

This is the type of beer that the rest of the world makes fun of us for. graemlins/laughing.gif If you really don't want to ask the cocktail waitress (which they absolutely will Not mind, by the way), you could stop into one of the convenience stores along the strip, and get one there...just get one though, so you can then get a Good beer after you're done. graemlins/biggthumpup.gif I would suggest anything from the brew pubs at Monte Carlo or Main Street Station.

OH NO LVTerry, don't go dissin' the Champagne of Beers!! graemlins/grrr.gif It's a staple at my place....plus they have the best commercials! :D
However, I agree that the microbrews at MC and MSS would be a slight step-up from living the High Life. ;)
As long as I can get Heinekens and Coronas for a buck, or for free, I usually stray from the Miller myself while in Vegas. Trust us whosdex, if you're drinking the Blue or anything from Molson right now, your not missing anything if you can't get High Life, but don't let that stop you! When you're on vacation in Vegas, do whatever you feel like!!!

From one Canadian to another..... don't do it!!! MHL is like Club or Beer beer in a stubby chubby. You're REALLY not missing out on anything.

Play nickles at Monte Carlo. Play slow. Wait for the drink girl to come along and order Jackpot ale, a microbrew that comes in an old fashioned bottle with a funkly label. I brought the bottles home. And am tasting the beer now in my imagination.

Not to get into a beer discussion, but to try and address the original poster's question about what beers are served--it depends on the casino & the bar. Most places will have a standard core of beers they serve (ie you can find Corona & Heineken in most place, michelob & budweiser--though not Mich Light, as Mikey often points out) You can ask the bartender or cocktail waitress what they have on tap, if you're at a bar you might be able to peek into their cooler and see what they have in bottles. You could tell the bartender or cocktail waitress what kind of brew you're looking for and ask for suggestions (which I often do for cocktails, because I don't drink a lot of cocktails so I don't know names, etc) In most places, they should be happy to help you. Heck, tell them you're from Canada and you're feeling courageous, sampling some american brews graemlins/beerchug.gif

You guys must not like beer. There is only Bud Light in my refer. Sorry Rob but unless your'e talking about Miller Lite you will have to move from Ohio due to the fact that Miller High Life is just embarassing to fellow Buckeyes.{just funnin} The Miller Lite and Coors comercials are good but listen for the Bud Lite coms. on the radio. Mr. all you can eat salad bar inventer and Mr. carlot giant Gorrilla baloon inventer are two of my favorites. Ohio Bino graemlins/beerchug.gif

Don't forget Mr. Expensive Coffee House Coffee Maker!! Because its not charging $5 for a cup of coffee, its putting that tip jar out there that takes guts! Seriously, I am not a Bud drinker. I do like a miller high life every once in a while though, or MGD. The best beer I ever had was from the Magic Hat Brewery in Vermont. They brew the best beer in the world by my opinion. They might sell it around Montreal if you live near there. You will have no problems ordering a High Life in Vegas, they will know what you are talking about.

I don't know about Montreal, but Magic Hat is fairly easy to obtain in the eastern US. I'm a beer "snob" - I have homebrewed and hubby & I have been to several dozen brewpubs. Our favorite brewery is in Pennyslvania - it's called Victory. I highly recommend it if you ever see it.
