View Full Version : Best Patio?

I've been looking for a place that has a patio with a great view of the Strip and has seats that we don't have to pay extra to sit in and enjoy the view. I see that the Ghostbar at the Palms and the Voodoo Lounge at the Rio seem like strong candidates in terms of the views they provide.

I was wondering if anyone who's been to these can comment on which one is a better bet, especially in terms of the availability of seats with good views, and if there are any other places I should consider?

Thanks for the help. This is a great site.

Are you only interested in view or in an outdoor patio? I love the view at the bar on top of Stratosphere. It's one floor above the restaurant. It's dark and has booths all around. They don't rotate like the restaurant does (or I don't remember it rotating and I didn't drink THAT much) but it's a great view and a cozy place. But not a "club" or anything.

The Ghostbar Patio is pretty small. If it's the least bit crowded, it gets a littel tight. Not that I've hit a lot of patio, but I'd vote for Voodoo.

You talk about seats with a view. Are you planning on siting and eating, or do you simply want to sit down? Reason I ask, is Voodoo has two decks. The one up top has those tables you stand at, while downstairs is a resaurant, but it seems if you're sitting on any deck then you might have a problem with the view? Just wondered.

Anyone of better help than I?

Voodoo if you're looking for comfort...ghostbar if you're looking to people watch.

Also, I don't know if you would consider it a "patio," but the Palms' Skin Pool Lounge is pretty sweet also.

Risque at Paris is supposed to have a balcony you can get out onto and see the Bellagio and stuff. I have not been there but read about it, I think you may need reservations but different sites said different things. Call first!

hush @ polo towers has a great view, but the best view on the strip IMO is at foundation room on the roof of mandalay bay.

Is it true that it's $30 a head to get into the foundation room?

I just returned from a Vegas trip and after having been to the Stratosphere and experienced their view along with the VooDoo Lounge at the Rio. I would have to say that the view from the VooDoo Lounge is by far the best in my opinion. The panoramic view is priceless and at only a $10 cover charge it is a good bargain.
