Boardwalk:Purple Reign

How does everyone feel about the "Purple Reign" show at the Boardwalk Hotel? Is it cool?

It all depends on how well you like Prince and his music. Form what I remember of last summer He look fairly much like him and sound good. He even played some of the lesser played songs which are the ones I like. But buy your drinks before the show starts because price go up as soon as they go on. But all in all a pretty good show at the price.

My wife loved it. I caught some of it, and he does look and sound exactly like him (kind of scary if you ask me) graemlins/blink.gif . And if I remember right it is free with a 1 drink minimum. For the price it is one of the best deals for some non-gambling entertainment.

I think it a great show to go and see. But then again I grew up in the Purple Rain era. But I agree with others that they guy looks and sounds great. The female dancers also add a nice touch as well. Last March we stopped by to see the show again and were pleased with the addition of the Morris Day and the Time at the beginning of the second set. They also were very good! And if you don't enjoy it you can leave at any time. It is a FREE show!!!

Must be nice that someone got to see this. When I was out to Vegas last April we waited almost an hour and a half for him to show up and he never did. We were very bummed because I like Prince's music and wanted to see if this guy was just like him but over an hour wait was ridiculous. We ended up going back the next day and found out that he never did show up.

Glad to hear though that others got to see this show.

I took the wife to the show at boardwalk and she and I thought that the Prince look alike was great! The only downers were we ordered a second drink and mine was a water that cost $3.00...the barmaid said well it is a drink...Get your drinks in the casinos and order the one drink to get in then nurse it!!! The only other bad part was at the end of the last number, some goofy rapper came out and ruined the show and then turned out to be the prince dudes promoter barking out for $10.00 polaroids with make belive prince. My gal and a few others tried to get a pic and he went off screaming no pics you must pay $10.00.Sorry no way!
