Girls Weekend Out

Going to LV weekend of 4/25 with 8 other girl friends. What is a good place for us 30-somethings? Anyone been to Velvet Lounge? Is it good? Is there a really long wait for the Ghost Bar? I need some ideas. Thanks.

Ghost Bar lines are long on the weekends, as are many other of the hot night spots.

Jack's Velvet Lounge at the Venetian is closed, which is a shame cause I really loved it up there...

The Ghostbar is a lot of fun. The lines get long, but you can now buy VIP passes at Vegas.com.

For dancing: Babys, rumjungle, Ra, Studio 54, Light, Rain, the Beach.

For nice place for drinks, chill out: Mist, Red Square, Voodoo Lounge, Fontana Bar...

You're kidding. I can't believe Velvet Lounge closed before I had a chance to try it out. Oh well. Thanks for your input. I still would like to try the Ghost Bar. When would anyone suggest getting in line (time)? We'll have to see what all the girls want to do.

I was really bummed when I realized it had closed... The restaurant it was in (WB Stage 16) closed and they bar went with it. I can't help but assume that something similar will go in that space, since it was such a great place. One of the coolest places to chill out on the Strip... Really a loss... The best part of the Venetian...

If you pop into the line for the Ghostbar about 9pm, you'll get in... You'll have to hang out and relax until it starts to get happening (11pm - midnight) but I'd rather wait upstairs than downstairs...

I just got back from Vegas this weekend....check out Tabu over at the MGM Grand. Also another ultra lounge, it's a very classy place with a great atmoshpere and music.

What type of music does Venus and Tabu usually play? Is it mello music or dance type music??? I'd rather be somewhere with upbeat, dance type music.
