Lagoon Saloon @ the Mirage

Just read (@ A2Z Las Vegas site) that the Lagoon Saloon is closed for remodel. :( We're going in mid May and love going in there for a drink. Anyone know anything about this project like dates, start, finish, etc... Thanks, Dino

There is no specific date, but it is projected to reopen in late May.

You can bet that they are busting butt to get it done...once it's pool season (now-ish), that place is a gold mine....talk about free money!!

I called the hotel, they said it is scheduled to re-open in late June. That sux...it's not like there is any other live music there except the piano bar. You guys think it's outta line to ask them to provide a shuttle to their closest property (Bellagio) to use the Fontana Bar? I'm going to send an e-mail and ask...can't hurt. I'm sure we'll end up springing for cab fare...you never feel like walking back after cocktails...lol Anybody been to the Tiki Bar at Venetian?

Dean, the Tiki bar at Venetian is great. It's right on the same level of the Venetian-TI walkway at the corner of the hotel. Lots of booze, easy walk.

Yea Paul, I'm sure you're right... seems that way w/ most things these days. When I was searching for better flights using FF miles, they (United) kept telling me I couldn't extend my "hold" that I had made on some tickets that had already been 3 weeks. I kept calling back and the 4th "different" person I got said, "sure, no problem..I can extend your hold for 2 more weeks". You gotta be patient and persistent... :rolleyes: If you don't like the answer you get, hang up and call back and they'll give ya a different one! LOL Beef, thanks for the tip, we've been reading about the Tiki Bar on the net and a couple of bars at Balleys that sound cool too. We'll be checking them out for sure. I e-mailed the Mirage and asked if they would cover shuttle/taxi costs to a sister property (Bellagio) to use their (Fontana) bar... graemlins/beerchug.gif They'll probably wonder what the heck I'm smokin' but I figure just like all the comps, if you don't ask you don't get. I'll let you know what they say if it's printable :cool:
