We're getting married at the Monte Carlo Hotel on 12/24/04. There will be approximately 15 - 20 people in our party.
As we are not familiar with restaurants in Las Vegas, we would appreciate any suggestions you might have for a really good restaurant for our wedding night dinner. We would prefer Italian, but are open to any creative ideas. We're hoping to stay within the $20-40 per person range. We are considering either Buca Di Beppo (which we have at home) or the Market City Caffe at the hotel, but aren't overly excited about either.
Any must-see lounge show suggestions would be appreciated, too!

We celebrated our wedding dinner this past August at Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Hotel. Very nice!

In your neck of the woods, for Italian ... Il Fornaio at NY-NY. It's close. It's good. It's w/i your price range and I imagine they can handle a group of your size.
Trattoria del Lupo at Mandalay A-OK, if you like Puck (Wolfgang, not vulcanized rubber).
If you want to get out and about the Il Fornaio group runs Canaletto at the Venetian. I've not been overly ecstatic about the food but others think it's just peachy ... and it certainly hasn't been wretched. The setting's PERFECT for you as they have great party-sized rooms upstairs overlooking St. Mark's Square.
I'd avoid Battista's like the plague. Actually given a bout of the plague or dinner at Battista's ... (Sorry RamBill. It's not a slam on you.)

When we were first planning our Vegas wedding for 25 people, we contacted Canaletto's group dining person and she sent us their banquet menus. They start at around $45 a person and that didn't include meat. That was for basic pasta. We ended up having a private dinner for me and my new husband in one of the smaller dining rooms upstairs with the view of St. Marks. It's very romantic and the two of us had dinner for $100. That didn't include any wine or dessert...just the appetizer and entrees. Canaletto is a great idea but it's a bit pricier than what you're looking for.

The main idea is to have fun, it's a second marriage for both of us and were getting married in Las Vegas, what could be better?

Thank you Betty! I just finished talking to Joe and Georgia at Fellini's and we are going to have our dinner there. They could not have been any more helpful and kind. We were going to get a cake from Freeds but they convinced us that there's would compare to Freeds and a MUCH better value. We talked to quite a few places but Fellini's really convinced us they wanted our business. Also again Thank You to everyone for their great ideas.
Next week is our big week!!! Can't wait....
