I'm back!! The wedding went wonderfully!! graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

The Las Vegas Garden of Love did a wonderful job. The limo was late (7:30 pm instead of 7 pm), but that was ok. I was too nervous to be upset over it. We went to the License Bureau where there were two couples ahead of us, and then about 10 couples waiting once we got our license. The limo then took us to the chapel where we were given a choice of three different chapels. We chose the the 'outdoor' theme chapel. I can't remember what it was called. There were about 20 different boquets (sp!) to choose from. I chose red roses. The minister was friendly, as was the photographer. Our package was only $99 and it came with 12 photos, but the photographer took 52!! :D They give it to you on a CD. We got them developed at Walgreens the next day. They came out ok. Some were really blurry or off center, but for the most part, they came out pretty good. Plus my best friend has a program on her computer to cut and crop, so we worked on them and the final results were very nice.

The whole thing took about 45 minutes and the limo dropped us off at Mon Ami Gabi for our after wedding dinner. (Very good) The minister told us we were his 56th wedding that day!! I'm sure he makes out well in tips!

All in all, I was very happy with our choice of chapels, and my new husband graemlins/ylinlove.gif was pleased as well. We got married on our first night in Vegas, so we had the next 3 days to ourselves. We went out in the morning, and stayed by the pool all afternoon because it was 105!! Then we went back out at night when it was cooler. It was a great wedding, and a great vacation... ummm, I mean honeymoon!! We plan to go back for our one-year anniversary! I can't believe it is over and done with already!!

I give the Las Vegas Garden of Love the thumbs up! graemlins/beerchug.gif

Mon Ami Gabi was very nice. We sat inside because the wait for outside was too long and it was about 9:30 pm. The steaks we chose were very thin steaks, but mine came topped with carmelized onions and my husband's (!) steak was peppercorn, so they were quite tasty and filling even though they were thin. The steaks come with "Frites" (thin fries). The french onion soup was out of this world. My sister had the filet mignon (thicker cut), which she raved about as well; her boyfriend had escargot for an appetizer, which were quite tasty. Very nice place. I would recommend it for a nice dinner (or lunch)!

Hi Vegasbride2003!

Our chapel was kind of an outdoorsy type. It had like a waterfall and rocks and stuff. There were some red hearts on the walls, but I think they all did. I wish I knew how to add pictures to this e-mail, but I'm not computer savy!!

We had a great time. I'm hoping to go back for our one year anniversary! It also helped that we hit a slot machine for $1,500!! Nice wedding present!!

You can never plan a Vegas trip too early. Maybe too much, but never too early. Congrats and many years of happiness.

Congrats Linda & Hubby! Isn't it odd to use the term husband at first? Well, I'm very glad you had such wonderful wedding and I hope that your luck continues for many, many years.

Thanks again everyone!! I don't have any regrets at all about getting married in Vegas! Quite a few people were like "Why do you want to get married there?" and I was like "Cuz we WANT too!" Not everyone can say that got married in Vegas!! We had a ball!! graemlins/beerchug.gif

sin - Yes! It is wierd to say "my husband"!! A good weird though!! graemlins/ylinlove.gif

Do you have a website for that chapel. Getting married in Vegas next month, cant seem to find a chapel that I am comfortable with.

Many thans and congratulations!

Las Vegas Garden of Love has closed and a new version is being constructed on, I believe, 3rd just northerly of the Strat; I've not been by in over a month so it might be open. For what it's worth, the new location -- at least from a aesthetic/physical setting pov -- can only be an improvement.
