We're planning a Vegas wedding. Has anybody got any info or opinions about weddings at the Flamingo (or Tropicana?)

I'm a little late responding. I've been reading the message board for a while but just registered today. I am planning my sister's wedding to be held in May at the Flamingo. My step daughter got married there 3 years ago and we were so pleased. It didn't take much to convince my sister to do the same. The wedding coordinators are very nice and helpful. The chapel and gazebo are lovely and the ceremony was beautiful. I highy recommend it. Prices are higher than the strip chapels but lower than other chapels such as Bally's Caesar's, Bellagio, etc. and they have that beautiful lush tropical landscape that make some awesome pictures.

Thanks sooo much for responding. We have called the Flamingo for more info and they are mailing us some things but nothing beats first hand experience! :D

Does it smell like Flamingos though? When we've been in the heat of the summer and walked past it has smelled like the zoo.... maybe it was a fluke. I guess nobody would stay there if it smelt ALL the time.

Nowo that you mention it, at times there is that "fishy" or "zoo" smell. It hits me when we walk out the back door of the buffet room. But it is only in that area, not all the time. The wedding chapel is on the upper level, far away from the habitat.
