Embassy Suites by the Convention Center

Hello! I'm an avid Embassy Suites fan and noticed their rates are very reasonable. You can't beat a nice suite and free breakfast and nightly drinks every day. My hubby and I will be in Vegas from Easter day until the following Saturday and are considering just staying at the Embassy since we're familiar with it and love their free full breakfasts. Is it too far off the strip? Anyone stayed there and have any comments about it? How is their pool?

I have never stayed there but pass it each year. I have stayed at the Somerset House Motel which is across from the Greek Isles. I believe that the Embassy Suites would be just about a ten minute walk to either the strip or the convention center at my leisurely pace.
