Can anyone tell me about staying at Polo Towers for a week? Do they have a shuttle to anywhere? What is near there, etc. graemlins/beerchug.gif

I don't know about a shuttle. I don't think I'd like to stay there simply because there is no casino, I can stay in a timeshare anywhere in the country w/out a casino, why do it in Vegas. I just think I would miss the Vegas ambiance. As far as location goes, its great. Across from NYNY and next to MGM. A bunch of cool places are a short walk too (Aladdin, Bellagio, Tropicana, and the three Mandalay places, Luxor, Excalibur, and MB).

I did not really think I would care for the idea either, but we are going next March for the CON-AG show, and are taking our daughter and son in law with us. They will gamble very little, so the timeshare with the 2 bedrooms and all will be good for that. When they are there we will do all the things we never found the time to do, like Grand Canyon, Red Rock etc. Then when they leave we are moving where the action is, and getting a room at a hotel. graemlins/wiggle.gif

Isn't Polo Towers where they have a bar on one of the top floors with a great Strip view, too? I think for your needs it will be nice--plus, I think they're almost done renovating the shopping area in front of Polo Towers, making a Hawaiian Internation shopping center....

Hoya's referring to the Sky Lounge (http://www.vegas.com/nightlife/bars/skylounge.html), which apparently is also called the Hush Lounge (http://www.vegas-travel-co.com/nightlife/hush.htm) and includes the pool deck.

Dr Al--that looks like TWO bars. Sky Lounge is on the 19th floor, Hush is on the 22nd and includes the pool deck...Based on those descriptions (from your links) I'd love to get a drink mixed by master bartender Wayne and relax there--the other place sounds too much like loud bars in other hotels--great for many, not my scene :D

Well, that's what I thought  but the second link confused me. Sky Lounge has been on my to-do list EVERY time I've gone to vegas, and I still haven't gotten there.

OK--someone needs to get there STAT and confirm how many bars & lounges there are at Polo Towers!!! graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
I remember reading about the great view or seeing it on a Travel Channel show about greatest little known things to do in Vegas but I always forget about it when I'm in town. It does look great!!!

tongue.gif I really like the sky lounge, it's a quiet lounge with a great view and no cover charge! graemlins/wiggle.gif It's a little more subdued than most of the lounges and clubs around the area. graemlins/wiggle.gif

I have Sky Lounge on my "to do" list now. Thanks for the post. Since we are staying at MGM, it won't be a hike to get there. We are not into the loud smokey bar scene, so this sounds perfect.
Thanks Again!
