I understand the construction at Caesars is affecting their sport book area. I also noticed some awlfully good rates on-line for a stay there. $669 for 6 nights, including a Friday nights stay in the rate. Makes me wonder if there is more disruption going on than just the sports book? Any information or thoughts on this?

I was just there, the sports/race book looked ok to me, but then I don't have any "historical" perspective on it. In fact, I thought the sports side of it was the nicest of any we'd seen, more like a lounge with flat screen tv's on the cocktail tables.

There is a lot torn up, but mostly between the street and hotel/forum shops, which looks like an open pit mine. If your room faced that, you might get some noise during the day. But once you get into the buildings, there's no evidence of construction. Can't wait till they get it done, it will make a nicer walk from Mirage to Bellagio.

That is good news. I picked the Sport book area news off another site. Perhaps it was more speculation as to what might happen as to what has happened. This rate for a 6 night stay looks very good for Caesars. I might consider switching my July reservation over to this property. I have never stayed here, and it sure looks more afforable than ever before. Any other information that might make a difference in my stay? Any comments, plus or minus, would be appreciated.

The sports book was torn up when they were working on the Coliseum, but the sports book is now back in full effect...

They have construction going on at both the porte cochere and at the corner of LVB and Flamingo...

But, as said, once you are inside it is hard to notice.
