The $100 million Cannery hotel-casino project is set for a mid-December opening.
Millennium principals Bill Paulos, Bill Wortman and Bob Mendenhall are building the industrial-themed project, with a 201-room hotel and a 50,000-square-foot casino. They want to create a property with an atmospher similar to the original Fiesta property on Rancho Drive, emphasizing very loose machines, convenient parking and a fun environment.
The property will have a '50s-style retro-industrial theme, with a large, lighted smokestack serving as the Cannery's beacon.
The casino will have about 1,250 slots and 21 table games. Surrounding the center casino will be a range of restaurants, including a 360-seat buffet, a 24-hour cafe, a Mexican restaurant and fast-food outlet, a sports-book deli and Waverly's, a fine-dining offering.
Does anyone else know anything about this casino?
