View Full Version : Looking for a vegi wedding meal
My fiancée & I are to wed 5 weeks tomorrow in Vegas (flying out from the UK), one thing which is causing a problem is where to have a meal afterwards.
Her parents will also be there, 3 of us will pretty much eat anywhere, but my bride to be is a vegetarian, no meat or fish, which appears to be the main thing in Vegas.
Can anyone suggest a nice restaurant (on or off strip) that can provide meals for all of us?
For example, we had a nice meal the other night, parents had filet steak, I had lamb (roasted in red wine with rosemary, just falling away from the bone - perfect!) & Becki had spinach, pepper & (vegetarian) cheese wrapped up in filo pastry.
Many thanks.

I would think that most restaurants could accomodate you. Where are you getting married? Where are you staying?
I can try to find more specifics if you can narrow down the area a little bit.
Sonya, you're so nice I think we may well bring you back home with us :D
We are staying at The Luxor, getting married at 2pm at The Little Chapel of Flowers.
I'm thinking (but you may know better) that this will be a little early to get a nice meal, so proably go back to Luxor, have a bottle (or two ;) ) of champagne with Beckis parents, freshen up and then go out again. Of course somewhere at Luxoe, Mandalay Bay or Excalibur would be good, but we are more than happy to get a cab (no car) somewhere.
I really am looking forward to any comments or suggestions you may have.
Thanks
Matt.

I guess the only other question is $$$. smile.gif
There are some nice restaurants at Luxor and MBay. I'm assuming that she's not uber-veggie and is okay with cheese because you mentioned cheese in your first message.
At Luxor are:
Isis - http://www.luxor.com/dining/isis.php3
Has some nice dinner salads as well as a vegetable ratatouille and a tofu and veggie dinner entree.
Papyrus - http://www.luxor.com/dining/papyrus.php3
Chinese restaurant with veggie, rice and noodle selections.
At Mandalay Bay I'm about 85% sure that I saw some eggplant based entree at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant, Trattoria del Lupo. If you wanted Itallian, I could probably call them for you and find out for sure that it's still offered.

Thanks Sonya, we have had a very nice meal at Wolfgang Pucks in Florida, so that looks promising.
As I'm not paying $$$ isn't really a problem ;)
Have you eaten at the Pullman Grille at Main St - I know it's the other side of town, but that isn't a problem and the setting looks fantastic.
Catch you later, this 8 hour time zone difference can make for some drawn-out conversations tongue.gif

Training starts in 5 weeks!

Training starts? I wish, that was completed long ago Jimbo :D
I do all the shopping, cooking, washing of dishes & ironing (whilst watching star trek reruns), Becki does cleaning and washing of clothes - it's a pretty fair deal at the moment smile.gif :D

It is a beautiful restaurant. I couldn't remember anything on the menu for vegitarians so I called and asked. They don't even have a big dinner salad there. :( She said that the closest thing they have for vegetarians is a pasta dish. I asked what was in it and she said shrimp. smile.gif OOPS! :D
Their Triple 7 Brew Pub has vegetarian selections, but at night the place is loud and rowdy. Maybe that's what you're looking for, but we warned it can be VERY loud in there when they have their show.

DAGNAMIT, Thanks Sonya, I thought that might have been the one, the setting looks perfect :(
I appreciate your post, but feel embarrassed when you go out your way and make a call, thanks ever so much for that.
I know it's going to be a Friday, but we would rather not have somewhere rowdy
